Ideas On DIY Christmas Decorations

Christmas is the season for sharing, presents and family, and what would this holiday season be without beautiful decorations? Even if there are several Christmas decors in online shops and local stores, DIY Christmas decorations can give you the chance to have a personal touch on it and even let you save more money on your pocket.

Popcorn DIY Christmas decorations. Buy a bag of unflavored popcorn or create a popcorn garland. Light spray every piece of it. Measure the length of the thread that you would be needing for your garlands. With the use of the needle, carefully push it into the popcorn, then pull it down to the thread. Repeat this, then see to it that the distance of the popcorn is even. After that, you can now hang it all over your Christmas tree, banisters, door frames or to whichever you would like.

Make a felt stocking. You need to arrange first the two pieces of felt on the top of one another, then cut the shape of stockings. You already have two pieces of felt stockings. Now, squeeze a little amount of glue on the corners of the felt stockings, then attach them together. Let it dry for seconds. Then beautify the outside of the stockings with craft pom-poms, buttons,  glitter, or any other types of decorations you like to have.

Braid different colors of yarn together to make a unique garland. Cut yarn strands of about 10 feet long each. You can make use of different colors that would go well with your DIY Christmas decorations. Bind all the strands together, and tie a knot on its end.

Create your own mistletoe. Find a faux mistletoe at any craft stores. To make  a loop, you can tie a red or green ribbon on its end. Screw a small hook so it is centered in the base of the door frame. Place the mistletoe onto it with your ribbon loop. Another option you can have, in attaching the mistletoe in the door frames, is with the use of a clear tape.

Actually, DIY Christmas decorations are easy to do. Always use your own resourcefulness and creativity so can have lots of DIY Christmas decorations, ideas, and styles to beautify your home this holiday season.
